Likely Editions is an independent space run by myself and archivist Fangyu that aims to promote and extend the concept of artists' books in Taiwan.
We present and support self-publishing projects that experiment the book format as an art medium, covering a wide range of selections from small edition works, zines, conceptual book projects, to designer-initiated publishing. Our vision is to stimulate more discussions, thoughts, and creativity about the practices of artists' books in Taiwan, and to foster a liberal understanding and appreciation of this genre.
Likely Editions is an ongoing project currently in development and intended for educational purposes. The artists and publishers referenced are individuals and organizations we hope to collaborate with in the future. All copyrights remain with the respective artists, and we look forward to the opportunity to work with them.

Phantom Scripting is an immersive environment and multitrack sound installation that explores the experience of navigating the unwritten rules of a new cultural system, particularly through the lens of migration. The screenplay is drawn from five Taiwanese films and dramas that examine local culture and its unspoken codes.
The gallery is transformed into a complex theatre stage, where the artist challenges audiences by providing the script without actors. This absence compels visitors to piece together the system of the space and the relationship between text and stage. A shared symbolic visual language connects the script and the environment: stage marks on the gallery floor indicate actors’ positions and movements, mirrored by notations alongside dialogue in the script. In this way, actors become invisible phantoms, existing only through the audience’s imagination and participation.
This act of interpreting and embodying the system in space parallels the social experience of migrants who must decode and adapt to unfamiliar cultural structures. The installation process itself reflects this process of exploration, deconstruction, and reconstruction. Tiles on the floor serve as a grid for transferring visuals from screen to space, breaking down and reassembling the design to create a layered, systemic encounter.
